Classic Louis Vuitton- Monogram Speedy Bag

One cannot talk about a Louis Vuitton bag without mentioning the Speedy bag. The thing about the speedy is that it is timeless.You can buy a Speedy bag ten years from now and it will still be in style.  I have a friend who's had her Speedy bag for about twenty years!! And who doesn't want a bag that never goes out of style? The Speedy comes in a variety of sizes. The smallest size is a 25. The Speedy 30 is another popular size and the size I wished I had gotten when I first bought my speedy. The sales associate tried to tell me the 25 may be to small but I didn't listen. Don't get me wrong I loooove my Speedy 25 although I sometimes wish I had a little more room in it. So how much is this great bag you ask?? Currently the Speedy 25 is $750 and the Speedy 30 is $775. And since I know my mother reads this blog, no I didn't pay this much for mine!! I bought mine years ago and it was a lot less. Jill Scott and Her Chanel Arm Candy

When I saw this pic of Jill Scott  from the Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon , I just had to add it to this week's post. First off, she's carrying this gorgeous Chanel bag in a beautiful Blue. Secondly her new hairdo is gorgeous on her !!! This new do looks great on Ms. Scott. This week’s bag is the Chanel Jumbo Maxi Classic Flap Bag. It is part of Chanel’s classic line. This bag comes in a variety of colors but I chose to show the bag in red.  Of course since it’s a gorgeous bag and a Chanel you know it’s pricey. The price of this bag is $4900. Yea, I know…. Whitney Houston

This week’s blog posting is dedicated to the late Whitney Houston. I was actually working on updating this blog on Saturday February 12, 2012 when I heard the sad news of Whitney Houston’s passing.  Like many other people I was shocked and didn’t want to believe it was true. Even the next day it was as if I just had a bad dream. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Whitney Houston  or seeing her perform , she has always been a favorite performer of mine since I was a young child. One of my earliest memories is the “Greatest Love of All” video . Then there’s “I’m your baby tonight”, “I wanna dance with somebody”, and of course “I will always love you”.  I can name so many of my favorite Whitney songs but there are so many. Her music and voice are timeless.  Whitney was more than just a great singer, she’s an icon.  RIP Whitney Houston.

Better 2012

Last night I had the great pleasure of meeting some wonderful ladies who were soooo positive it was like wait, " Am I still in Atlanta?" The event was called " Better blogs and brands" and the focus was on helping others to achieve success whether as bloggers or whatever passion you have.   As the hosts mentioned, you just don't see many African-American women trying to help each other. The focus of the event was "Better 2012" and one of the things needed to have a better 2012 is a vision. We were encouraged to start working on vision boards and setting goals. Attending the event was definitely something I am glad I did because now I am definitely more motivated to start pursuing my passion 24/7!! Over the next few months I will definitely be reading more books and doing more research to help make my dreams a reality. So in addition to my reviews of my favorite purses, I will also be posting reviews of the various books I plan to read. Stay tuned for a better 2012!!!

The Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag

Hi All!!! I know it's been a while since my last post and I'm slacking already. I promise to do better. Without further a do here's this week bag of the week. It's the Louis Vuitton Neverfull. I looove this bag! It's stylish and practical. It lives up to it's name because no matter how much you put in it, it's never full! The Neverfull comes in three different sizes: PM (petite model), MM (medium model), and GM (Grand Model). It also comes in three different prints: monogram, damier, and damier azur. Currently I have the Neverfull Azur MM but of course I want it in damier too. A girl can never have too many bags! Here are a few pics of the different Neverfulls.
